With five generations in the fine woodworking tradition, Grand River’s intricate wood carvings are sure to make your fine wood products stand out among the very best. All the carvings are done by hand in Grand River’s Eastern European factory. Woodcarving is an art that fathers hand down to their sons and daughters; and that’s precisely what the Dorinbaum family did. The Dorinbaum’s family passion for wood carving started a long time ago in Austria and Romania. Their work can be found in many high end homes, museums and even castles in Transylvania. It is due to this family tradition that Grand River is able to offer clients unique carvings of the highest quality. Grand River offers a collection of over 100 authentic wood carvings (corbels, appliques, rosettes, handles, knobs and capitals), which can be used on cabinets, furniture, pilasters and mantels. These solid wood hand-carved pieces can be stained or painted. Grand River works with hardwoods such as maple, cherry, oak and basswood. Each piece is hand carved and unique.
