Cubicon Fiberboard Cylinders
Molded with 9 plies of specially treated and convolute-wound fiberboard. This strong, rigid and light cylinder can be cut, drilled, sanded and custom fabricated with most conventional woodworking tools and techniques, including sanding, sawing, punching and grinding. It features a “seamless” construction, with no spiral joints, to provide a smooth finish. They are unfinished in standard brown fibreboard. The seamless appearance is achieved by removing the outer protective layer of kraft paper. Used to make such items as custom cabinet rounded corners, table bases, columns, and store fixtures. Simple cutting of the cylinders is a quick and cost effective way to make rigid, one-piece, jointless, curved, three-dimensional components.
